I have an old rear drive Volvo wagon. At 201,000 miles, the old gal wore out her driveshaft center bearing. The driveshaft was removed, the halves were separated, and the dead bearing was replaced. Apparently, the driveshaft was not aligned as it was when the driveshaft was removed from the car because now there is serious vibration when the vehicle is underway. I think my experience with your shop is a severe case of chain jerking as well as take the money and run.
