I may not have a spa business but I do have a hair salon and before purchasing a Groupon or any other deal, I check City Search for comments and was amazed that I found a couple of negative comments that were almost exactly the same wording as what I have experienced on my own business's City Search comments. I couldn't resist, I purchased the Groupon and found that the positive comments were the same as my experience at this place. \r
Interestingly enough, I asked to see licenses without telling why etc and was accomodated with not just a pleasant demeanor but was asked if there was anything else that could be provided to make me more comfortable before proceeding. \r
After my wonderful treatment I told the manager of my experience with comments and found that the same thing had happened here.\r
Within a couple of days after a free consultation a fax was received saying how there was a negative comment just posted and that for x number of dollars this company could protect them. This was exactly the same thing that happened to me. The manager finished by saying that as long as I was happy with the service I had received that was what mattered to her.\r
Personally, I feel that any business that sends people out to purposely trash another business either through free consultations or through a discounted service like Groupon is pathetic and that says a lot about the kind of business they are.\r
Meanwhile, I love what a simple MicroPeel did for my skin and even many days later it looks fabulous. So, read all the reviews and average them out. Chances are that will give you the real scoop on a business.
