Had to walk out. Chatting with a customer is friendly, being so engrossed that you ignore the line is rude. A barista can say ""I'll be right with you"", or signal her coworker by the espresso machine to help, or even make eye contact and smile. But standing next in line for over 4 min (I didn't start timing until I had been standing for awhile) when all I wanted was a drip coffee wasn't worth it. Other great coffee venues abound in Boulder.
