I love going to cafes to study, and since the infamous Starbucks is always crowded I thought I would try a new place today. So, I went to Infuzion cafe. My boyfriend and I got out of the car and I waited in the cafe while he came in (about 2 minutes max). Then I get a dollar to give to the woman at the front to make change for the car meter. As soon as I come back I sit down and immediately look up to see one of the employees standing right beside us. He tells us that we have to leave unless we buy something, otherwise we are not welcome there. I had complete intentions of buying a drink, but I JUST sat down. Give me a second to breathe, please! So, I tell my boyfriend to go, because they are obviously unprofessional here. I go to the front and calmly explain that we were planning on buying a drink, but that we just sat down. They accused us of stealing their internet and saying that we were already settled and should have bought a drink. So we ended up having a huge argument in front of all the customers over something so petty. I feel bad for them, they are obviously in need of money for their establishment otherwise they wouldn't be forcing people to buy drinks immediately as they enter the door. They are extremely UNPROFESSIONAL. Every time I walk into a Starbucks, for instance, I am acknowledged and treated well. This is why small coffee/tea establishments are crushed by big consumer companies. I would not recommend this place; the employees are a little too paranoid for their own good.
