The first thing the tech said when he visited us for the service call was "" this looks bad"" and then he goes into
detail why we needed a new one. A leak that could not
be discovered, it was 10 years old, then stated going
over the thousands of dollars we needed for a new one.
We sat down with him looked at our options but he kept on insisting that we needed a new unit and gave us pricing. I suggested he try charging w the unit up with but he said that would be against EPA to do that but he eventually decided to charge it up. So we left him to it but he came back to talk to us about buying a new unit. So I asked him about the recharge and he said it did not need it. So I said.""So there is no leak?"" He agreed there wasn't. So he finished up and left us a bill for his visit. Not only did he change us the standard charge but a lot of money for the little bit of work he did taking the panels off and chipping the ice that had collected. Oh yes, he also stuck some American Air and Heat stickers on our unit without asking us.. Such arrogance, we removed them.
We would not call this business again even to change a lightbulb.
