Rehab South Poor Experience 7/1/2011

Having been referred to Rehab South from another inpatient physical therapy, I found Rehab South to be very disappointing. It is not ADA compliant (I use an electric wheelchair) and there are no automatic ways to open the door to enter or exit. The doors to the rooms are narrow as well. I worked with one of the PT's and she used my electrical stimulator (as they didn't have any batteries for theirs). The next time I went I took them some batteries but my stimulator continued to be used because they only have one and it was in use. Their exam tables are difficult to get on as, I guess, they don't adjust in height. I spent my time on the table with the stimulator and squeezing putty in my hands. All of this I have been doing for several years and could do at home. My husband and I inquired about equipment and she stated they didn't have much equipment, not even a walker to try to help me walk. I was just getting back on my feet from the inpatient physical rehab only to waste my time and her time. As the stimulator was going and I was squeezing the putty, she left the room to work on other patients or she would work on the computer. I went to Rehab South because I need someone to help me advance and develop my muscles. A lot of what I need, I can't do alone thus why I was referred to them. Please, do your homework before going to them! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. In fact, I would not recommend them to anyone. Dr. Steve's name keeps coming up but I have no clue who Dr. Steve is.........Too poor to even give a rating. more
