Last Saturday night my boyfriend and I went over to the FuNuGyz which is near my house in Peoria. We wanted a different atmosphere to watch the NASCAR Daytona Race. (we've been there several times before) We are big race fans but it seems like everytime we go we have to beg for someone to change one of the many TV's to the race. no big deal .. but this time we ordered drinks and getting ready to order food when the waitress came over and asked us how long we were gonna stay and we said we did know ..why? she stated the manager told her to tell us that unless we paid $5.00 to stay that we would have to leave in 45 minutes because the ""fight"" was gonna come on. I was shocked.. We are not boxing fans and dont know anything about it. we just wanted to watch the race. anyway we ordered an appetizer and a burger (didnt have cheese and bacon on it like I ordered) never got an apology for the incorrect food. we ate quickly and left within our 45 minutes alloted..she stated that the manager was not watching too closely so it was ok to take our time eating. I'm amazed that we were treated this way. guess ""them Gyz"" dont recognize the fact that there are many different sports fans that come to their sports bar..i just want to add that when we left the bar was only half full, so its not like they were beating down the door to pay to watch the fight. Not sure if we will ever go back..
