I am building a new house and my builder suggested I contact Charette Brothers for my appliances. I was ordering approximately $10K worth worth of stuff. I worked with ""Mike G."" Mike had to make some calls to KitchenAid to get some prices matched, which to his credit he did, but when it came time to write the order, I learned Charette Brothers doesn't accept American Express. When I emailed Mike to let him know I was sorry but that was a deal breaker, but that because of his hard work I would nevertheless recommend him to anyone I knew going forward, he replied ""Thanks for wasting my time!""
Here's a little tip for anyone in sales. If the first deal doesn't work out, don't take it personally, it's just business, you still never know where a recommendation or your next deal will come from. Mike G. obviously has a lot to learn in that regard. My builder will never use him again, nor would I recommend him in light of his comment. I phoned Dave Charette to let him know what happened, but never got a return phone call. After reading reviews about them, it's obvious the owner of this company clearly doesn't care about his customers, or his ""potential"" customers. I'm glad I didn't do business with folks like this.
