Penny wise and POUND FOOLISH. Brought my bike in for a re-repair under the extended warranty plan and they tried to hit me up for the $50 deductible. When I pointed out that my bike had been there before for the same repair, they first claimed they needed authorization, then said ""Well, that was two years ago."" Apparently the contract didn't mean anything and/or I am not supposed to actually RIDE the bike.
They absolutely would not give me my bike back without $50 - which is the last $50 they'll ever see from me. Adding to this, they never gave me a copy of the service order (might be evidence?)
What's ironic is that I tried to give them at least some business (I bought my bike there, with the $800 extended warranty). Their prices are very high, and I do most of my own work. So in the interest of making $50, they kissed our future relationship goodbye.
I ride a lot of miles. I'll be looking for another bike in a couple more years. It would not surprise me if they weren't around to sell it to me.
