Lynn from TV Center called me to discuss my TV issue, and went ahead and scheduled an in-home "triage" or diagnosis of my older (2002) SONY HD projection TV. Service Tech came to the house and diagnosed the problem quickly as a bad lamp "ballast/power supply." We confirmed the high part price independently, and then authorized Lynn to go ahead and get the part, and repair the TV. Total price was just over $500, but as i looked at it, it was still lower than the replacement cost of a 60" HD TV. Reluctantly, I agreed to the repair. They ordered the part, and came out to do the job quickly and very effectively. A minor billing issue, but it was resolved peacefully, and quickly. Get used to higher prices, they are all over, not just TV repair...
