My name is Joel Wieder the owner of Cat 5 Shutters, LLC., and my family has been in the construction industry for 3 generations. My grandfather was a contractor in Miami before there were building codes and regulations. My father was an accountant by education and had a love for building, he has been a builder in the Keys since 1970. I was born in Miami and raised in the Keys. I now live in West Palm Beach and spend half of my time in Islamorada. I have spent all of my life in the construction industry and have had a real love to be able to run my own businesses. I hold 2 general contractor licenses and very proud to run 2 of the most prominent companies in south Florida where all my friends and family live. I started my hurricane shutter business in 2003 and have had thousands of satisfied customers.
