I first hired AirCool AC last year to do a routine check up on my home. They found around $1,000 in repairs that ""required immediate attention"". I signed a contract with them in which they agreed that if something should break again that I would only be billed for parts. Being a new homeowner, I believe that the $20 a month was worth it to save what they claimed would be $1,000s on repairs. The contract included semi-annual system check-ups which they forgot...when they finally sent someone out to my house.. Surprise! another $700 in repairs needed to be done... even with my discount. April was the final straw with this company. My AC was not working properly even though I had just paid this company top dollar for preventative maintenance. The mechanic came out and informed us a wire had broken and it was going to cost over $500 with the discount to fix. Knowing that we were in need and had customer loyalty, he proceeded in ripping us off again. After this visit, my husband and I did research on this particular fix and found that with 6 other companies that the average cost of this fix was between $80 and $100 with installation. Now, why were were charged 5 times that amount when we had a contract to only pay for parts? We had all the other repairs quoted as well and turns out we were overcharged on every single repair and part. I don't normally complain when I'm fed bad business.. I typically just cancel service and take it as lesson learned but as it turned out my credit card was stolen shortly after and I needed to contact them to give them new payment information. I tried calling the company but the main number was always directed straight to the same mechanic that ripped us off! I asked FOUR TIMES over the course of a week to speak with a manager or have a manager return my phone call and the unprofessional mechanic repeatedly told me.. ""shes real busy"". We figured if they were that disorganized to have no idea they were missing a $500 payment for 2 full months that they deserved the loss. AIR COOL AC finally returned my phone call 2 months later and left a voicemail threatening to send me to a collection agency and put a mechanic's lien on my property!!!! I called him back and the manager was still too busy to talk to me! The entire experience has been a nightmare! This is not the way business is done. If you are reading this.. please dont use this company! I hope no one else has to deal with these jerks!\r more
