Laramie is not particularly classy and evidence lies at Altitude Chophouse & Brewery where a peculiar blend of arrogance and ignorance wafts from the staff. Even the menu, which attempts to apply culinary artistry into the meal description, has absorbed said blend. Although the business is popular in Laramie (which leads me to believe the residents have low standards), it is hard to discern what makes this destination desirable. Even though there is a full time hostess, being seated is a timely affair. Being waited on is another miserable experience. Be prepared to have empty glasses sitting on the table, to wait an extrordinary amount of time to have your order taken, and for common courtesies (like knowing the available salad dressings and bringing the correct drink order) to be forgotten. As for the food, well, if you like half of your steak to be gristle and your sandwich dripping all over your hands this is the place. What makes it amazing is that the meals are dramatically overpriced in conjunction with the poor culinary decisions. The menu is short and has the diversity of an assisted care center on a military base. Long story short, this restaurant is not a good representation of Laramie eateries and has the worst service I have ever received. more
