We had a very late Sunday brunch at Jerry's. My wife and I shared a Turkey Pastrami sandwich on Rye. It is over stuffed and huge (half sandwiches are available). My kids each had a scrambled egg platter with toast and potatoes. The food was good, the service friendly and prompt. We finished the meal with a dessert of Ice cream with a brownie - it was huge even for four of us.\r
Given the mixed reviews we were a little apprehensive, and originally went to Maxine's a couple blocks away. When our food never showed up there we finally left and came to Jerry's. We were glad we did. The place isn't fancy, and maybe a wee bit run down, but the food and service were good with OK prices. They have signs with the logos of Wolfie's and Rascal House. They apparently purchased rights to those names. It is a similar style restaurant as those restaurants that no longer exist.\r
Perhaps others have had a different experience, but we had absolutely no problems and really enjoyed our meal. The service and food delivery that were fast by any possible standards and seemed even better and faster given our experience from Maxine's where we had to leave after waiting over an hour for food that never showed up.\r
So, good food, fast pleasant attentive service and fair prices. It was a good experience, and would go back if we are in the area again.
