I have two children at New Gulph Children's Center and I cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience has been! My daughter is now 2 1/2 years old and has been there since she was six months old, and my 7 month old son has been there for two months. My daughter loves to go to ""school"" each and every day, and I love being able to go to work knowing that my children are receiving excellent and loving care when I can't be with them.
What makes New Gulph so wonderful? The Director has been there for over 30 years and most of the teachers have been there for many years as well. There is very little staff turnover so I know that my children will have consistency. The teachers are extraordinarily loving and nurturing. The lessons are engaging. I am amazed on a daily basis on how much my kids are learning and how much fun they are having doing it. The facility itself is fantastic, with a spacious indoor area and a large and beautiful outdoor area where the children get to play daily. Also, a freshly cooked hot lunch is provided every day. New Gulph is also a non-profit so all available funds are put back into the school. Further, it is governed by a parent-run board of directors, so parents have an opportunity to weigh in on many important aspects of the school.
Both of my children are in New Gulph's infant-toddler room, and my daughter will soon move on to New Gulph's pre-school program. There are many pre-schools near my house that I have investigated, including one that is adjacent to my back yard. However, none of them can beat New Gulph's ecxellent program with the added convenience of care before and after the typical school day.
