Went to The Old Warsaw last night for a special occasion. We were a little concerned because of the recent poor reviews about the wait staff. Shouldn't have worried, our waiter Saeid was excellent. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. My wife wanted the special menu #2 and I wanted to order a la carte. We have had problems with this in the past at other restaurants. Not a problem for Saeid. Not only did he accommodate the request and pace the meals well, but he also substituted a course (cheese course) in the special menu #2 with a second dessert at our request. \r

Now to the food. Our meals started with lobster bisque soup. I ordered the Beef Wellington. My wife had the pheasant. My meal was very good and my wife enjoyed her meal as well. However, the service was impeccable (although not very busy) and really made the dining experience.\r

The wine list was excellent, but since I was the only one drinking wine, I opted for wines by the glass. I had a couple of glasses of the merlot which was good. When I wanted a third glass of wine with my meal and received a stern look from my wife, again Saeid came to the rescue and offered up a wonderful half glass option. Meal was pricey (expect to spend $100+ pp), but good special occasion dining. Not crazy about the new venue, would have probably preferred their previous location on Melrose, but service \r
