My wife and I have a Suzuki Grand Vitara. That had a major noise from the engine. Dealer diagnosed it as a bad engine for $8,500. Another shop specializing in japenese cars said it needed all timeing chains, and gears for $3,500.Central Coast Custom looked at it, and found a report from Suzuki that they had a problem with just one part of the timeing chain area, and fixed problem for $1,500.
