I am rating this facility one star, only because a rating is required (I tried zero). I will never return to Valley Animal Hospital, ever. What used to be an average clinic has become all about money with seemingly no regard for the pets or their owners. A month after having my ill cat treated at this facility, I called to find out the fee for euthanizing him. The girl at the front desk told me it would be $100 for a drop and $160 if I wanted to stay with my cat. Who does that to a person or an animal?\r

I called a veterinary group in Sherman Oaks the following day, Saturday, at 8:30 a.m., was seen at 9:30 a.m., held my cat in my arms until the end, and there was no charge whatsoever. Not only was the doctor and staff extremely compassionate, but I received a sympathy card two days later, with a message from the doctor and four of the staff members. They didn’t know me or my cat. Well, they will get to know my three dogs and remaining two cats, and it is comforting to know that my pets will be treated by people who care. \r
