i have never been to the gracie barra academy but i am going to have to disagree with you on the best academy around. i have been going to Nor Cal Fighting Alliance for a couple years now and i have to say that there is no better training or competitiveness then what you will find at NorCal. Cesar Gracie Black Belt Dave Terrell owns and operates the academy. and for the price you pay is way too low for the lessons and teachings that one would learn there. the training there is just over the top. like everyone says here ""everyone is there to learn the martial art of BJJ"" thats the same with here but you will get the best athletes and fighters at NorCal. i have personally met with a few people that have trained at gracie barra and came over to Nor Cal and have said the training is way different and better and that they are glad they made the switch because they are now learning more then ever.
