September 2011 I gave Cathy Adams $1,000 to finalize a divorce that my spouse and I had already negotiated. After multiple phone calls (which none of have been returned) I consulted the State Bar of Texas and as they recommended, I sent her a Certified, Return Receipt letter which she has never responded too. I have left 20 messages for Cathy Adams with no reply. Cathy Adams has taken my money and all of the files I have provided her and returned nothing in return. I contacted the Kaufman County Clerk's office and they informed me that they have had complaints such as mine in the past. I have requested Cathy Adams to give me my money back and my files back, but once again my calls go unanswered. I told Cathy Adams that if my money and files were returned promptly this matter would be dropped. However since Cathy Adams refuses to return my calls or respond to me, I am moving forward and reporting her to several organizations such as :

State Attorney General's Office
Better Business Bureau
Kaufman Chamber of Commerce
