I wrote this on Google too but was really happy with the work so I offered the owner to spread the word about his great work on a few sites....That is how satisfied I am.
If you are looking for a great waterproof-er or contractor I would suggest stop looking and call these guys.
We have a small 5 story residential building in lower Manhattan. This summer with the Hurricane passing through NYC and then a couple major down pours, our building suffered some major water damage. We had brick and gutter problems that was enabling water to flow down the wall of our building and then it was finding its way into our apartments. We needed a resolution to be quick, cost effective, and long lasting.
We immediately searched for waterproofing companies and ended up interviewing 5 all together. I passed on the low ball estimate as with past experience it tends to be too good to be true. Each estimate was completely different. For the most part they talked about filling holes in the wall and doing some gutter repair and basic water proofing.
The owner of 4m I found to be a lot more observant of our issues we had and his recommendations included a host of items that the other 4 proposals didn't even bring up.
As far as pricing I expected 4m to be on the high side but they came right in the mid range of estimates.
He was also able to get a crew of guys in immediately to solve our problem.
As a residential building we have a number of apartments with pets, children, and grown up children (if you know what I mean). In multiple past experiences with contractors we always had problems. 4m worked really efficiently however. They were also very clean which was key when you have children around. At times I didn't even realize they were working as they were also quiet and out of the way. The owner (Mayin) was also present for most of the time which I find rare with contractors. Usually they dump their guys and go onto the next job. With 4m the owner was always checking on his guys and giving me updates along the way.
The job was completed within 2 weeks (as promised) and the owner Mayin gave me a full review of what they did and the steps that each fixed had in making our building more waterproof than it was before.
All along the way the 4m team was really professional and I would recommend these guys to anyone who needs waterproofing and contractor work. I personally re-hired them 2 weeks after the waterproofing work was done to rebuild my personal roof deck space (another job well done). Our old building will need some more work in the next few years and I am looking forward to hiring these guys again as they were great.
