As a professional chef, I can tell you the food here is always wonderful and the service is even better. It is probably the single best warm comfort food location to be found in the area. We usually make what we want from home, and when we dine out it is always a special occasion. For those occasions we go to Ellie's. Period. Every staff member and Ms. Ellie's family is always cordial, gracious, attentive and even conversational. We are treated like part of the family.
I am really disappointed by the negative review posted here. My wife and I have been dining in Ellie's for 2 years now. My 2 1/2 year old even loves the food and you can imagine what a picky eater she would be! Great for couples, perfect for families, and a wonderful family-like experience for children. You can bring your own wine to enjoy with a meal....just wonderful all around. Try the spinach pies when you dine. You won't be disappointed!
