So my wife bricked her laptop yesterday. I think she tried to plug the power cord into the DVD tray or something like that. So anyway, it went dark & didn't respond to anything -- unplugging, removing & replacing the power cord, the 5-second hard reset on the power button -- nothing. I even gave it the secret "I'm a guy" hand signal when she wasn't looking, but still, no response!
