The Staff here sucks, pools are filthy with ducks 11/7/2011

I have lived here for a while , while we wish to move as soon as we can. But have read the other reviews and would have to agree with 95% of what they say. The management may seem nice, but could care less about the complex. Ducks in the summer swim in the pool's. Management's at fault for this, since they come out and feed the the ducks right next to the pool on their smoking break. The water and sewer bills are outrageous per the actual amount used. The gate is left open at times , while other times it's 4 digit key pad entry works, however don't get fooled. people just follow you in once you enter your password. The contract's make you 100% liable for injuries , even though it may be the complex at fault. Dogs crap all over the place and you are bound to step in some. Letters get sent out and they threaten all dog owners but to my knowledge it has not fixed the problem. The paid parking spots are a joke. The state of Missouri's law allows 72 hours before a car is towed. So if someone parks in your paid spot, you have no recourse. Parking tags were promised for over 2 years now, yet none exist. As far as crime, you have to figure it's not all that bad per the amount of people compacted in the housing area. The one thing I would caution you on is the electrical work here. Each time you turn on a switch you will hear a shorting out sound and flickering of lights. Myself and others in the complex have had many issues with maintenance coming in without prior notice. If you think I am lying about the above, just ask anyone who has lived here. \r Fireplaces have no doors on them , so expect embers to pop out onto the carpet. We have never been offered for our fireplace flue to be cleaned. Is it a fire waiting to happen? I'd say so. more
