April Collier NP at Hope Family Medicine was recommended to me 3yrs ago. I was skeptical at first to even go see April due to no one was helpful when I was younger or even listened to me in regards to what was going on. Since my first visit, I have had WONDERFUL care. April was in the room with me for over an hour. I had so much to discuss and she really listened and sympathized with what I was going through. She immediately wanted to get me going and on a better track ASAP. Her vast knowledge of different medications amazed me. We discussed different options and SHE REALLY LISTENED to my concerns. Everyone is so nice there. Heidi is VERY WONDERFUL and has been since day ONE when I made my first appt. Channing is a doll too-so sweet and funny. I drive from Franklin to Stewarts Ferry to go there. What people don't understand in regards to waiting a bit for their appointment is sometimes there is more urgent patients back there at the time that need to be seen right away. My appointment can wait a bit and I am not going to be rude and get snobby. People need to have more compassionate. This is a wonderful place, I will not be going anywhere else. People always think also that ""Oh, only the best DR/NP can see me."" The best in the state are not always the best and move you along like cattle. The more patients that come through ""THEIR"" doors looks good yes, but in the end I want someone that is going to have the knowledge, be able to listen and be compassionate, and be down to earth. Just because you are in this profession does not mean you have to have a stick up your a**. I have seen and worked with many doctors that are like that. It is sad. I recommend this office to anyone who wants wonderful care as well as a wonderful staff.
