I have never been so dissatisfied with a product or service that I have felt compelled to go online and write a negative review, but I must do so after my experience with Xtreme Moving yesterday. I have moved 3 times in 3 years and the prior 2 experiences were as stress-free as a move can be: the movers were timely, took care of my things, and were efficient. Not the case yesterday with Xtreme Moving. I decided to use Xtreme Moving because I found a Living Social coupon for a 3-person crew for 2 hours and thought it seemed like a good deal. I bought it and booked the move over a month in advance, and planned it for the day I had to be out of my apartment. I explained over the phone the amount of furniture and boxes I had to move (an amount I was told would probably take about 3 hours with 3 men, so I planned on paying an extra hour full price at $119). On that day, 2 movers arrived at my apartment and were shocked to learn what all they had to move: they had not been given any information about what I was moving and seemed quite frustrated with their management. I finally got the management on the phone to explain that I expected 3 movers (per my coupon and my confirmation email), and Tracy at Xtreme Moving was extremely irritated that I wanted a 3rd mover. She told me I could call back on Monday to reschedule -- but of course, my entire apartment was in boxes and I needed to be out by the next day (today). She acted like she was doing me a huge favor by lowering the price to $99 an hour and was not at all apologetic that I did not get what I asked and planned for. The movers were amicable and easy to work with, but did not have a good organized system for loading and unloading. I moved my belongings with them for the entire 5 hours it took to load and unload the truck. Several of my pieces of furniture that they moved are scratched now. At the end of the night, I spoke with Tracy again to let her know my discontent with not receiving what I had asked for, the fact that it took 5 hours to move everything, and the fact that I felt disrespected as a customer. I was certainly upset, but again got no apology and instead Tracy hung up on me. When I called back, Rick (the co-owner of the company) answered the phone and told me that ""some people you just can't please"" -- as though I were completely unjust in the fact that I was so irritated. He told me I should quit my ""self righteous barking."" I paid more money and spent more time than I had anticipated, and was insulted at the same time, despite being a paying customer of Xtreme Moving. I would highly discourage anyone hoping for an organized, efficient, stress-free move from using their services. Their self-edited reviews on their own website do not accurately portray the company.
