The pastor of Auburn Baptist Church, Joseph Mallozzi, pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges after he was caught on video this June abandoning a cat behind Marden's discount store in Lewiston (fortunately, the cat was unharmed and was taken to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, just around the corner from Marden's). Mallozzi pleaded guilty in September in Lewiston District Court and was ordered to pay a $500 fine.
