but the service was certainly lacking. My daughter in law is EXTREMELY responsible and attentive to details. She selected, ordered and paid for the wedding cake, which was to be picked up on Friday, Oct. 21 between noon and 1pm. As part of my "honey do" list, I was to call and confirm the pick up date and time, which I did on Monday, Oct. 17 (AND I had it repeated back to me). On Friday,the date the cake was SUPPOSED to be ready, my daughter (yes, it IS official now) went with her maid of honor to pick up the cake - which is about an hour and a half drive from Lawton- AND THEY TOLD HER IT WASN'T READY!!! Thank God the maid of honor has an amazing mom who was willing to drive BACK to Norman ON THE DAY OF THE WEDDING to collect the cake, return it to the reception hall and set it up for us. On top of everything else, AFTER confirming the pick up time, they acted like we were the ones who made the error. The cake was so-so...not much was eaten, so I guess it wasn't awesome. On a lighter note, it was very pretty and my dog LOVED it. Bottom line...if you are ordering a cake for a special occassion, take your business elsewhere so that you can be treated like your occassion is truly special.
