I had pretty poor dental care as a kid, and have had some real horror stories with pediatric dentists...It seems like some just don't want to believe that not everyone is sufficiently numbed with local anesthetics, and kids are capable of telling the difference between "a little bit of pressure," and genuine pain. I started seeing a lot of ads for sedative dentistry alternatives, but most ads seem to forgo talking about the competence of their staff and focus on the sedation aspect. Having a parent who suffered a coma as a child due to an adverse reaction to nitrous oxide, I'm reasonably wary of inexperienced dentists who practice with sedation.\r

The radio/TV ads for Kvitko's office seemed a little too good to be true. Their office looked comfortable, the staff seemed friendly, and the promise that pain-free dentistry could be delivered by experienced staff without having to fear compromising my care was music to my ears.
