I stopped by 3 Alarm Comics today for the third time since I moved here 6 months ago. They've had their chance; I won't be going back.
This is everything you want a comic shop not to be -- shabby and unattractive, with unfriendly workers and a weak selection. It looks and smells like a run-down thrift store. They have a terrible all-ages selection (essentially nothing), helping guarantee future generations will not be comic readers.
If you only went by this shop, you would think the comic book industry isn't slowly dying, but already dead. Avoid this store. (Unfortunately, you will have to go at least to Mobile or New Orleans to find anything better.)
