I called Basta Pasta's Timonium location on a Saturday afternoon to make reservations for that evening. They told me it was first come, first served and we couldn't make reservations. I asked if there is usually a wait around 5:45 because I have small children and we didn't want to wait. The woman on the phone said that there wouldn't be a wait as long as we were flexible about where we were seated. We showed up at 5:45 and were told there would not be a table for us because they had many reservations coming in at 6pm. I told the hostess that we were told we couldn't make reservations. She said they do take reservations and I urged her to talk to the person who talked to me on the phone because that person never told me they were already full - she said they don't take reservations and that it's first come, first served. The person who took my phone call that afternoon came out and the owner came out to talk to us and she lied right in front of the owner. We ended up going to another restaurant and will never go back to Basta Pasta because of their terrible customer service. I don't recommend the restaurant - you will be disappointed if you are treated the same way we were.
