I cannot believe the audacity of these people! When asked how much they charge for neutering a 160 dog I was told $310.00, but interestingly enough I was just charged a little under $1,000.00 for fixing a broken toenail! When I asked how they could justify charging 3 times as much for a procedure that requires much less medical attention, I was told that I signed the estimate! The estimate was for a broken toe not a broken nail. Even in the worst case scenerio, I cannot imagine charging this excessive amount for a toenail! I was basically told that as I had signed the estimate they could charge anything for what they "deemed" necessary! They fixed a toenail!!!! God forbid that you would really need extensive medical care at this hospital - They might take your house!!! When I showed the bill to other veterinary hospitals they were amazed, one hospital told me that my dog would have had to have a much more serious injury and stayed for a number of days to be charged this much!
