Last year i was at the milford mall and was approached by a girl from the interface stand askng me if i would be interested in modeling. i was curious, but also sceptical becaue ive heard alot about modeling scams. they set up an appointment with me a few days later. still being uncertain and slightly uncomfortable that i might be getting into something weird i asked my boyfriend to come with me. we sat in the waiting room for almost 2 hours b4 they called us into a little office. the guys first sentance was that he wanted to offer a modeling job to my oyfriend also. then he asked us if we were serious about persuing this. i felt a little shy and said i dont know. and he said well if u dont know, your wasting our time and we should end this now. i said i felt uncomfortable bc i didnt think i was the model type and i had no idea how it works. thats when he explained the whole thing. that we have 2 set up a photo shoot and told us the prices. i was feeling a little pressured. he showed us pictures of other people that they helped get modeling careers. my boyfriend said it seemed fine. but i was still not sure. he said it was a one time offer and i figured what the heck i guess il take a chance. he charged 1 thousand to my credit card. 800 of it was for my photo shoot. 2oo was for my boyfriend. they also charged his credit card 100. and made him sign something saying he will pay the remaining 500 the day of the shoot. he said it was a one time offer. i felt pressured and signed the contract. the whole way home i felt like i might have made a big mistake, while my boyfriend kept convincing me it was fine.\r

i got home and i sat down and read the whole contract word for word and discovered that i had 3 days 2 cancel by sending it in writing by certified mail. i googled interface and read all the complaints. i also went to better buisness bureau to learn that it got an f rating. i immediatly got a pen and wrote a letter to them to cancel the contract and sent it out the very next morning, which was day 2. as a precaution i called my discover card to notify them of the situation. they said they probably wont be able to do anything but as long as i canceled within the terms of the contract i shoudl be fine.\r

fortunatly, about 2 weeks lateri was refunded the entire 1000 to my card.\r

i told myself that i would never again sign amything under so much pressure withought being able 2 have a chance to really think about it.
