Although this happened years ago our family is still upset. We boarded our cat over Christmas for two weeks. When we came home our formerly healthy cat (all of 3 years old) was on death's door after losing half her body weigh. Hello - you're a vet, you might have noticed. After suffering for a few more weeks with Kidney failure we had to put her down. It was completely traumatic for my family - this was my young daughter's cat. To add insult to injury we had to pay the boarding fee's when we picked up a clearly sick cat. The only generous thing they did was euthanize the cat for free.
