I really hate ""Internet Sales"" departments that respond to all electronic requests with nothing substantive, just a bald-face attempt to get you to come in. That's what happened at the other VW dealership around town. ""When are you really going to buy?"", ""Why don't you come in so we can talk about it?"" I got the opposite from Russell at Hewlett. He responded to my Internet request quickly and with an exact quote. I was impressed and made an appointment for a test drive. That visit was the best car dealership sales experience I have ever had. Russell knew the cars inside and out. He showed me more about the car for the test drive than I usually get when I go pick up a new car. He respected our time constraints and some unique requests we had. After the test drive, I changed my mind on what I wanted. The Golf TDI that I decided on is hard to get but he located one, a 2011 no less, and got it delivered to the dealership in a reasonable amount of time. The delivery and paperwork side was no hassle. They even offered me exactly what I had researched and estimated to be a fair price for my trade-in. That's never happened before - ever. I can't comment on service yet, but I will repeat - Russell is the best, most professional salesman I have ever had. I'd send my 85 year-old mother to him without a qualm. more
