Having worked in Penn Quarter for a year now I find it very enjoyable to try out all of the restaurants in the area. Having visited the District Chophouse years ago with my family while touring D.C. I figured I would need to return and remember why it is one of my favorites. One thing you will hate to share and won't want to pass up on is the cornbread brought to your table. The warm bread served in a cast iron skillet is probably the best way to start out a meal. After that you really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. You will even be shocked that their prices aren't that bad especially for the area. Looking to gather a bunch of friends after work and sick of the same old bar? The upstairs of the Chophouse has a large bar area with pool tables, perfect for after work happy hours or small birthday parties.
