A friend offered to treat me to a steak dinner at any place in DC. I chose BLT and i sort of regret it. The steak was tasty but not worth the money ($42 filet and $52 strip), the sides (hen of the woods mushrooms at $14 and fries at $9) were fine but again, much better food to be had elsewhere. The most troubling part was that the service was pretty mediocre. We waited some time before someone came to our table, only on the 3rd visit did they ask for our drink order, and the person taking our order seemed impatient in recommending a sauce for our steaks. I don't know, they don't seem to be putting forth much effort, just sticking out their hands for over-priced food as if they're entitled to it -- i don't plan to go back.
