I know of a great little gem hidden in the friendly little neighborhood of Sylmar! It's called the Wildlife Learning Center and they have amazing animals of all kinds! As we arrived their colorful macaws greeted us with a ""hello"" and even a eave! As we made our way around we saw monkeys, a sloth, a siberian lynx, a 14 foot python, and so much more! The biologists at the Center were very friendly and even took out a scaly snake and soft chinchilla for us to see up close and touch!
The family friendly feel was just what we were looking for on a weekend day with nothing to do, and for only $6 dollars for adults and $5 for kids you can't beat the price!
We loved it so much that while we were there we set up to have my daughter's birthday party at the Center! It's going to be so much fun for the kids, and hassle-free for mom and dad! What more can you ask for? They also bring animals to parties at your home! We really enjoyed learning about how the biologists take animals to schools and events to educate the public about these beautiful creatures and the environment!
