It is really unbelievable that Jimmy Z still in business. Customer service is at the very bottom of their list of priorities. We have a double microwave oven and the oven needed repair. They came to our house over a month ago and diagnosed the problem as a faulty motherboard and quoted $450 for the repair including parts and labor. We agreed and paid $200 as an advance. They came back a week later with a mother board but the motherboard did not work well with the membrane and they said they needed to now order another part. We discussed with the technician that we did not want to invest more money into an appliance that was over 10 years old. We were very specific on this and did not want to proceed if the additional part cost more than $100. He agreed and told us that if it was more than that, we would only have to pay the $85 diagnosis fee and they would refund the balance and take back the part. That was 3 weeks ago. After numerous phone calls and being told each time that someone would call us back the next day we finally got through to someone. We were told the part was $192. This of course made us not want to proceed. However today we were told by the owner that the agreement made by the technician would not be honored and that we now owed them for a motherboard that did not work. We were also told that we had agreed to purchase the $192 part when we did no such thing. In fact it was only after our several calls that we found out what the estimate was on the additional part. The owner was very rude and told us that we had two options, both of which would cost us additional money and not guarantee us a working oven. To summarize our experience with Jimmy Z Installers has led us to believe that they do not fulfill their promises and have poor customer service.
