I am SO grateful. I just bought a Whirlpool Duet Sport Dryer and I didn't notice that the door needed to be reversed until after the delivery men had left. So I tried to reverse the door myself, following the instructions in the Use & Care Guide. I spent hours until I figured out what I was doing wrong. The step that says to rotate the inner ring of the outer door 180 degrees was IMPOSSIBLE for me to do by myself and it really really seemed as though it would be impossible to do period without breaking the plastic tabs. The Whirlpool customer service phone # just read me the instructions from the manual. It was apparently not covered under warranty, nor was it apparently covered in the cost of delivery. The first shop on the Whirlpool approved repair list wanted $100 for a service call. I called J&H and they said to bring the door in and they fixed it, for free. They couldn't have been nicer. The shop is hard to find (it isn't intended for customers to visit; they normally come to you), but I am SO grateful. Whirlpool eventually sent me an email reply to my written question saying the door could NOT be reversed. What a crummy way to avoid addressing my problem!!! I don't know what I would have done if J&H hadn't been so nice; I absolutely could not see paying $100 to get this done on my brand new $1000 dryer. more
