I purchased the system (one larger than recommended) when I was having my system pumped every 3 to 6 months with the system leaking back into the tank as they pumped. When it rained I had puddles in the yard and when it didn't rain the ground remained very soggy and the lawn tractor tires had water coming off them as I mowed. Well after the first 4 months I had to have the septic pumped again but there was not septic smell (working? maybe). I then went about 6 months and had to pump again (ahhh the previous pump guy moved the aerator so it didn't work right, that delays the job). (I live in New England and it has been a very wet 2 years (which is how long I've had the system.) Well I needed to pump again after about 6 or 8 months as I got a backup/clogged main line (winter time). After 1 year I no longer got puddles except in extreme rains, but I was still not confinced. It has now been 2 years, my lawn tractor tires do not even get wet (even after a heavy rain the day before mowing). I get no puddles and while the ground is still soft it is not mushy. I would say that the system definetly works and I would recommend it to my friends. It is pretty easy to install (rent a hammer-drill, worth it) and I never noticed any change in the electric bill either (mine is on 24/7/365days). I figure I have saved at least $20K AWESOME PS. The unit is pretty quite, as in I have to actually listen for it to be sure it's running if I'm in my garage (it is located on the other side of the wall under the window) or if I am more than about 10 feet from it. I waited a long time to review this to be sure to recommend it or not. I DEFINETLY RECOMMEND IT. Support has been great also (they even told me that they would take it back even after a year if I didn't think it was working).
