I paid over 1000.00 to have Ben Hur move the entire contents of my apt from NYC to FL and they stole over SIX thousand dollars worth of clothing. None of my boxes were missing...someone at Ben Hur had gone through my things, stealing my clothes, such as my Brooks Brothers shirts, my vintage Hermes scarf, my Trina Turk dress, ETC. I have never been robbed like this in my life. I have moved many times, and luckily always had honest movers. My luck ran out with Ben Hur. I have reported them to the police, the State Attorney General's Office, and the BBB.
Ben Hur has been a nightmare to deal with. They have hung up on me, and have put me on hold when I've tried to contact them. If Ben Hur could steal from me, I assure you they are stealing from other people as well.
I'll bet the people who have written positive reviews are either employees of friends/family members of Ben Hur. Ben Hur is filled with greedy thieves.
Of course I am upset, you would be too if you paid over a grand to have your stuff moved, only to discover that a ton of your stuff was missing. Best bet is to move your stuff yourself. If you must hire movers, get insurance, and DON'T USE BEN HUR.
