We decided to have a professional tax preparer do our taxes for us because it was our first time filing as a married couple. We paid them 200$ and they took longer than they said they would and (we just found out) they miscalculated our gross adjusted income (line 1). Pretty pathetic for a tax company that supposedly had at least two people looking at our file. We could have saved ourselves 200$ and screwed it up on our own. Incompetent!
