We wanted to pass on a note of thanks to you and your team at Huntington Learning Center of Austin for all your hard work and dedication to Grant and his education. When we first came to you, Grant was a very shy and frustrated child with regards to school. He would hate all the assignments in school because he struggled and much as he tried, he would just be let down with his grades. There was even some talk about holding him back in 2nd grade so he could become more confident and sure of himself. That is where we stepped in. We got him some extra help at school but we decided that he needed more than that. This is where Huntington came in. Through your one-on-one tutoring sessions, Grant made a huge turn around. It has been a year and a half since Grant has been coming to Huntington and he is now a more confident child. He has lost all signs of being shy in public and his grades are showing it. His final report card for the 3rd grade shows him with one B and the rest all A?s. To see his face light up when we talk about his report card now is one of those moments that every parent dreams of. In addition to this, Grant took his first TAKS tests this year and he literally came out of the math and reading sections beaming with a great big smile. He passed with flying colors and the report indicated that his Quantile and Lexile scores place him at the mid-point of 4th grade in reading and math. As parents, it comforts us to know how much of a personal interest that you take in each and every one of your students at Huntington. From the individualized programs based on the child?s needs, to the special attention to teaching the same curriculum being taught in the school, to the frequent status update meetings, you kept us connected and informed every step of the way. We have always been proud of Grant with everything that he does because he tries so hard, but being able to provide him this gift of learning and confidence makes us doubly proud of him and his incredible achievements. He loves school now, loves reading, especially loves math and mentioned to us on more than one occasion that ?this year is my best year ever in school.?
