It's rare these days to run across such lousy customer service. The guy at this location is Richard. He's one of those guys where if you ask what time it is, he'll tell you how to build a watch. But he'll never tell you the time and act like you're an idiot for asking.
The summary:
Low quality looking work.
Careless handling of my frame.
Surly, arrogant, callous customer (dis)service.
Blames customer for his screw ups.
No respect for customers' time. Takes 2+ hours to achieve what should take 15 minutes.
I just needed something to tide me over while my new glasses were being made, what I got was aggravation from a self-righteous hack. I should have followed my gut and left when he started in with his ""What did I just say?"" attitude when I was simply asking for clarification. But I rationalized it thinking that he is just a top craftsman who is proud of his work. Definitely not the case. If Richard is an employee, he should be canned. If he's the owner, like his grandiose statements implied, Frame Doctors deserves to go under.
If you're reading this, Richard, you're not a big deal for being able to turn four screws in 10 minutes. Get over yourself. Also, improve your skills before you present yourself as ""First Rate."" If I had known what filler and laser settings were correct to use, or had test pieces to experiment on, I would have done a much better job myself.
Pros: Reasonable monetary price
Cons: The non monetary costs are high
