I assume there must have been a change in policy for when a customer tells the waiters that your there to celebrate someone?s birthday. My son and I drove 20 miles to go to his favorite restaurant ?Olive Garden?. Understandably that Friday is a high volume night but I would assume it would have been good customer service to present my son with a small acknowledgeable cup cake or desert. Instead the waitress wrote happy birthday on our box as we departed. I feel that this display either reflected an official corporate policy change or just rude customer service.
