We extended our visit to Northern Virginia an extra day for several reasons, but one of them was to eat another meal at the Griffin Tavern. We had an outstanding meal the first night. I chose one of the nightly specials - crab legs - and they were delicious. Lovely porch seating was available, but we chose to sit in the pub room, where they have good beers on tap (could be a little colder)and a cozy, comfortable ambiance. The second night we chose from the menu - a thick, juicy burger of local organic beef, with a side of onion rings (OMG, they were the best I've ever had). Worth starting with a full order. My husband's fish & chips were equally tasty - nice and crisp and malt vinegar already on the table. Take the time to visit this place!
