Although we'd never been to Abercrombie & Finch, we chose it for the wedding rehearsal dinner for our son and his fiance. Distance made it impractical for us to first check the place out (We live six hours away from the Portsmouth area where the wedding was to be held.\r

First, making arrangements for this party of about 30 people was super easy. The event coordinator, Joe T., was easy to contact, extremely responsive and very accomodating. \r

When we arrived, we found that the private function room was a lovely upstairs balcony space with a private outdoor terrace/deck (it was April 30th and the weather was super). Two excellent waitresses attended to our needs and prompty served the drinks as they were ordered. The mixed drinks were very well made and pleasingly potent. There was certainly no skimping on the alcohol.\r

Dinner was a buffet with two main course items (steak on skewers and chicken piccata) with some vegetables and mashed potatoes. Dessert was ice cream (choice of 3 flavors) and a birthday cake we ordered for the groom's grandmother.\r

It was a great party. The drinks were great, the food was very good and the service was impeccable. Joe was readily available but totally non-intrusive.\r

All the attendees had a great time and were very complimentary about the restaurant. \r

We can highly recommend Abercrombie & Finch and would be willing to be that an off-the-menu restaurant experience would be a good as our private function experience.
