I had a horrendous experience with the body shop at Girrard Nissan. They took longer to fix my car than they should have (as determined by the appraiser), the service manager tried to explain away all the reasons the repairs were not completed in a satisfactory manner (I had to take the vehicle back twice since the initial repair) and they tried to get out of paying for a car rental when it was their fault the initial service was not completed and the car had to go back to the shop. Overall, I felt the service manager was shady and tried to talk around all the problems rather than being straight with me. I never felt like he was being honest. This whole process went on for 6 months with me having to spend countless hours on the phone to their shop and my insurance company to insure things got paid and I wasn't left with the bill. The matter is still unresolved and Nissan is not responsive. Save yourself a whole lot of frustration and go somewhere else. State laws in Ct do not allow insurance companies to steer you away from or to a body shop, though I think if my insurance company had been able to they would have told me to run away from this place.
