my daughter in law had an appt to get her new puppy, she took her two little children, who are well behaved, so they could help pick their pet. The person in charge was rude to them and they had to wait a long time in the cat room. She came out to see what was taking so long and the person yelled at her to shut the door, which she did. When it was their turn to check out, the person in charge told them that they would not be getting the puppy, as they had observed her and the children and told them that they were not acceptable to their standards. Then my daughter in law told them that she wanted her application back, with personal information on it and they refused to either give it back or shred it. They told her that she would never, ever get a puppy from this shelter. Of course she was devastated, as were the kids. This girl is a teacher, is the kindest person you could ever know, and is a wonderful mom as well. And her parents were dog breeders, so she well knows how to act around animals. So now, because of some rude person, a dog does not have a new home, and two grand children are very upset about the whole experience. NOT a nice place to get a pet, some people are on power trips and what a shame for the whole place.
